In the "Be First" trailer for Spike TV's Video Game Awards there was a frame in that suggests a new Resident Evil title will be announced. It has the BioHazard logo that is synonymous with the franchise and includes "Stay Alive, Stay Alert, Report Symptoms" on the logo. There is a chance that this can be the squad based Rez Evil game that developer Slant Six (Socom) is working on.
Earlier this year Double Fine Studios, who have brought us such critically acclaimed games such as Psychonauts and Brutal Legend, released a small downloadable game "Costume Quest". The Halloween themed RPG was released on PS3 and Xbox Live Arcade for a lower price. This is part of a new direction the company is going in which they focus more creativity into smaller, more manageable games.
Which brings us to the second offering Double Fine has, Stacking. Stacking has you playing Charlie Blackmore, a Russian stacking doll in a 1930's backdrop. In this third person adventure puzzle game you solve various puzzles by utilizing other, bigger stacking dolls. With multiple ways to solve these mind bending puzzles this game is sure to have people coming back for more.
"Would You Like To See Some Of My Wares?" This line is from the addicting RPG Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Ever since it came out gamers were losing themselves in the game world and the game was a smash success. This was during the time when Bethesda only had the internal studio and wasn't the growing powerhouse they are right now with their numerous aquisitions. When Bethesda released Fallout 3 two years ago the main thread on Bethsoft boards were "Where's ESV?!?!?" the answer would always be "It's too early wait a couple years." Well now the waiting is over. No ESV isn't out yet but details are slowly starting to slip. According to Eurogamer the game is going to be a direct sequel to Oblivion and is in the voice acting stages (Yahoo!!!!!!!). Unfortunately the game isn't going to be utilizing the Id Tech 5 that is blowing people away daily.
If you or anyone you know owns a Playstation 3 you've probably played Uncharted. The Indiana Jones-esque action adventure series has received widespread/universal love over the story, gameplay, and absolutely mind blowing visuals and launched Nolan North into superstardom. Uncharted 2 was out last year and was crowned Game of the Year from numerous gaming publications. Kotaku is reporting that Sony is planning on revealing Uncharted 3 to the world on December 11th at Spike TV's Video Game Awards show. This may just be a rumor but Sony has said that they intend to announce a PS3 exclusive so large that it is getting it's own event. If Uncharted 3 is actually announced than practically every PS3 owner will be reduced to a Justin Beiber fan. This is the only time where that might be acceptable.
