Ape Escape Fury! Fury! Coming to North America

Ape Escape was always one of my most favorite games that came out on the PS1, but it's awesome to hear that the latest one (that's been out in Japan for a while) is coming out stateside! Being Playstation Move compatible kind of weirds me out, but seems right. The reason why is because, judging from the screenshot, it's being show in first-person. Unlike the previous installments that came out over the years, they were more adventure-like with a bit of platforming. Like Joystiq points out, it seems like an on-rails game.

Either way, being a fan of Ape Escape, it may make me consider buying Playtation Move, although there are just a few other games that I do want to pick up as well.

Well people, it's time to upgrade your gaming PC because Battlefield 3 is coming. Running on the Frostbite 2 engine, Battlefield 3 is aiming to give Call of Duty a run for its money. The gameplay is from the single player campaign which is a new step for the Battlefield series. Take a look, and then weep with joy.

Battlefield 3 is being developed by DICE and published by EA. The game is set to be released on the PC, PS3, and 360 later this year. This gameplay was revealed at the 2011 Game Developers Conference.

Are You Ready For The Wrath Of Asura!!??

So I was thinking about some upcoming PS3/XBOX360 games that I been really excited about, and one of the ones I am most hyped for is the game called Asura’s Wrath. The game was revealed at TGS’10 (Tokyo Game Show) with that said, very little info was mentioned about this amazing looking game at the event!! What we know about the game thus far is that it is being developed by Cyber Connect2, this developer has given us the famous .hack// series and the large assortment of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja games and being published and worked close at hand with Capcom.  Another major plus about this new title is that it will using Unreal Engine 3 game engine! We all know what this technology can do as far producing such great games such as SpilinterCell:Conviction, Gears of War 1&2, and Unreal Tournament 3, According to  the Asura’s Wrath director Seiji Shimoda, him and his team is aiming developing the  game in a sort of  way to make your think to your self “IS THIS A GAME”?  From what has been seen by screenshots and a few trailers this can be easily viewed as a action-beat’em up game. As for the storyline of the game it is about Asura a once powerful deity but then is betrayed by his fellow gods and stripped of all his powers. By channeling his inner rage, Asura is now able to unleash devastating attacks and wreak havoc as he battles against the deities who have wronged him and their earthly forces. It is inspired by Chinese mythology and science fiction ideals according CyberConnect2. I really think this is going to be one heck of a game when it comes out! Unfortunately it does not have a release date yet but it is predicted to release in 2011. If you have not seen the two released trailers please do watch them you will not be disappointed.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow "Reverie" DLC delayed

Back in December, Konami had announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be releasing DLC for it's (actually good) 3D entry into the franchise. They've only announced 2, titled "Reverie" and "Resurrection" back in December. "Reverie" was going to be released this month, but it has been pushed back to next month for unknown reasons. Who knows if this will effect "Resurrection".

PSP2 to be as Powerful as PS3

According to a report from trade site MCV Sony has been telling "Licensees" that the PSP2 will be as powerful as the PS3.

These are big claims that fit in line with Sony's strategy for a new (and still unannounced) handheld device which is "It is specifically requesting richer, more in-depth content to differentiate its device from app-centric Apple and Android devices." The Playstation Phone comes to mind.

The report also mentions that while downloads will play a large role in the handhelds game library, retail games will stay around to help ensure that the handheld has longevity, so no more PSP go situation. There are also talks of some type of phone being included, much like the PSP's current ability to use Skype.

The first announcement of the PSP2 is expected to be January 27th with having subsequent details revealed at GDC and E3.

Now keep in mind, the PSP2 probably won't actually be as powerful as the PS3, but on the smaller screen it's very possible that it could seem like it. We'll be sure to keep you up to date on further announcements.
