Bioware and Electronic Arts initially revealed that Mass Effect 3 would be released holiday season 2011, less than two years after Mass Effect 2's release. This announcement was met with glee from some gamers and speculation from others. Regardless of which side you were on you'll now have to wait a few more months to get your hands on the third act of the epic sci-fi RPG.
Casey Hudson, executive producer of ME3 released the news earlier today on the Bioware forums and Facebook page.
"Today we have confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012." says Hudson "The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series, ensuring that it exceeds everyone’s expectations.”
While it will take us a bit longer to get our hands on ME3, no one can argue that this delay will cause a slump of games this holiday season (I'm looking at you Skyrim).
