GamerZitch Game of the Year Nominees For 2011
Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 5:53PM Allan Muir Well, that time has come again. It's the final judgment of civ... I mean it's the Game of the Year nominees! If you weren't here last year for the inaugural GotY awards than sit forward and check out the nominees for the near 20 award categories.
Like last year there were numerous blockbuster game releases from the usual Call of Duty to the surprise hit that is Portal 2. The awards are the same as last year but with some new categories that are sure to make you mad with indecision. Below are the categories, and nominees for those respective categories. The winners will be announced on January 1st along with the Game of the Year edition of the ZitchCast.

I love awards time in the game industry it's a really fun time. Must lodge a few complaints though. While I enjoy 90 percent of these categories three in particular are irking me. First is the tabletop games actually that category is fine but Settlers of Catan and Dungeons & Dragons didn't come out this year.
The categories best meme, most anticipated, and most fun bug the hell out of me. Why give an award to a game that hasn't come out yet? I don't get that one. Best meme upsets me because stuff like that is just stupid bs half of are pointless and dumb like that stupid arrow to the knee one. And then most fun I just flat out hate, how do you judge which one is "most fun" and then even if you do, that sounds like it would be a game of the year game.
Anyway, just rambling, I'm still waiting for the awards and look forward to them, just seems like some dumb categories among some great ones.
It says best table top...not table top game of the year ;) And there were Dnd products that came out this year, I just wasn't specific. Must fun is just people's opinions, and we weren't going to have a best meme category til I took an arrow to the knee.
