Alan Wake XBLA Details

Recently the new Alan Wake game was announced. The XBLA title: "American Nightmare" will be more of an open world game with memorable locations being visited multiple times during the story the game is touted as being "significantly bigger than any episode of the original game."

The game takes place two years after the ending of Alan Wake and ever since Alan has become something of an urban legend. His fans have re-imagined him as the maniacal Mr Scratch. As the game progresses you find out the fates of Alice, Barry, and other characters through manuscript pages, TV's, and radios. 

A new crossbow weapon which can pierce through the darkness protecting enemies has been introduced, along with and Uzis, military-grade rifles and a nailgun, which Alan can use to overwhelm his foes.
