Sony Buys Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch, the studio behind the Sly Cooper and inFamous games, has always had a close relationship with Sony. They produced games exclusively for Sony platforms without being entirely owned by Sony. That is no longer the case.
Sony announced early this morning that they're purchasing the studio. No financial terms were released, but the deal adds one more powerhouse studio to Sony's deck bringing the total to 16.
"We've enjoyed an incredible relationship with Sony that has allowed us to combine our creative design capabilities with their guidance to make some of the best franchises to hit the PlayStation platforms," said Sucker Punch managing partner in the press release. "Equally important, the relationship with SCE has provided us the flexibility and trust to take creative risks and invent new properties."
Sucker Punch's last game was the strong selling inFamous 2 which was released back in June.
