The Gamerzitch Weekly Wrap-Up for 6/17/11

So last week was hell and everything is winding down from E3 2011. Speaking of that, what'd you think of this year's expo? Drop a comment right below! Let's hear your thoughts about the expo! Anywho, it's been a rather slow week for news and announcements, but hey, there were a few things here and there! It's pretty much that publishers, developers, press, media, etc. are exhausted from E3, so give'em a break with announcements. You already got a lot of them from E3!
To the news!
- Homefront developer, Kaos Studios, closes its doors
- Surprisingly, Call of Duty: Elite has gotten over 2 million applicants for its beta
- Some EA games have disappeared from Steam, most notably, Crysis 2
- Guess what? Wii U won't play DVDs or Blu-Ray. Oh well!
- Mortal Kombat DLC Characters to start arriving, beginning on June 21st with Skarlet !
- Kinect hacking endorsed by Microsoft officially! Software development kit released as well
- Minecraft for Xbox 360 being developed by 4J Studios
- Patrice Désilets, who was Creative Director on Assassin's Creed franchise, begins working at THQ
Like I said, it's been a bit of a slow week, with the exception of certain hacks that have been going around with big name companies in the industry, who are victimized. With that in mind, be sure to check your accounts with these companies just in case if your account has been compromised.
Have a great weekend everyone!
