First Look - Call of Duty: Black Ops "Escalation" DLC Pack

Previously seen as a leak and rumor, Treyarch has since confirmed that "Escalation" will be the next downloadable map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Like the last map pack, including the 2 that were released for Modern Warfare 2, which was developed by Infinity Ward, will be up for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15).

With 5 Maps already confirmed, it's nice to finally hear the details and see it all in action with the maps Zoo, Hotel, Convoy, and Stockpile. Nothing yet on the one map "Call of the Dead," but I'm pretty sure it'll be damn good! Let's go through a quick rundown of each map with a small description from the guys over at Treyarch.

Zoo - "Takes place in an abandoned Soviet zoo...it provides overwatch positions...there's a monorail that runs through the entire zoo...you can walk down most of the level to get advantage points"

Hotel - "Inspired by the vistas in Havana...flank paths and lots of interesting places to hide. If you can control the elevators, you control the upper floors...of course good sniper points.

Convoy - "Inspired by Soviet invasion at the time. Snipers will enjoy this map, but run-and-gunners will have no problem getting around the map quickly.

Stockpile - Probably offers the most variety across all 4 of maps...Operational garage doors protect [a] building [which] is the heart of the map."
