Secret Characters Revealed for NBA Jam, Beastie Boys and... Obama

As if you needed any more reason to check out the classic arcade throwback NBA Jam you can now play as some rather awesome secret characters. Its been revealed in an interview that ESPN did with the games creative director Trey Smith that players will be able to unlock a slew of characters to ball with. The list includes The Beastie Boys (which is awesome enough on its own) as well as a bunch of famous political figures, on the Democratic side we have former president Bill Clinton, his V.P. Al Gore, his wife and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, current president Barack Obama and V.P. Joe Biden.

On the Republican side you will get access to Miss Wasilla 1984 Sarah Palin, former president George W. Bush, Arizona Senator John McCain, and the only man who can sleep in the center of the Earth former V.P. Darth Vader, I'm sorry I mean Dick Cheney. "Secret characters were on the list from day one" Smith added "these secret characters and the element of surprise is something we hung our hats on very early." 

EA didn't reveal how to unlock said secret characters but I'm sure some crafty gamers out there will be able to figure it out soon. So get out there and start hitting buttons on the character selection screen.
