Sony Removes Buggy Facebook App From The Vita

Recently I've heard many complaint issues from fellow gamers about the PS Vita's Facebook App. Well my friends Sony has heard your complaints and for now they have pulled the app from the Vita's app store after hearing from it's consumers. Sony has issued a statement saying..

"We are currently looking into this to restore it to normal operational status," Sony told Game Informer in a statement. "We will announce further details when ready."

No timeframe has been given on when users will be able to use the app again but as long as it is fine tuned and polished i'm sure many gamers will be happy with that.

Sony plans to change the name of the PlayStation Network on Feb.8th

Over the weekend Sony announced that on this Wednesday, February 8 our "PlayStation Network Accounts" will no longer go by that name. The new name for the once PSN will now be going by "Sony Entertainment Network account." If you are wondering if this will affect your PSN accounts it wont.

The name change is purely just for a face lift of sorts and you will have no need to change your username or password. Also the PSN will remain unaltered so there is a sigh of relief there.  Sony says "Changing the name 'PlayStation Network account' to 'Sony Entertainment Network account' helps clarify the unity between PSN and other Sony Entertainment Network services." Sony also stated that "The goal is for there to be one networked log-in for all Sony services."

I for one think the new name change is a bit dumb and asking friends what is their SEN account name doesn't roll off the tongue so smoothly. Oh well i'm just glad that nothing besides the name is changing and that I will still be getting the quality services that I love for my PSN... oh I mean my now SEN experience.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock Monsters Trailer

Allons-Y! Finally my fellow Whovians we have a trailer for the upcoming Doctor Who game "The Eternity Clock". The platforming gameplay in the trailer looks pretty sweet and controlling "The Doctor" in various environments looks fun. Also I love the diverse showcasing of the monsters "The Doctor" and River Song will go up against. There has been no official release date other than the game will be coming in March 2012 for the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita around that time and for the PC on a later date.

Break out your bow-ties,fezzes and sonic screwdrivers my Whovian brothers and sisters for it's time to go  on and adventure through time and space as the doctor. If you want more on the story you can check it out on the Playstation Blog.

Playstation Store Is Not Returning Today

So much for that huh? With many DLC and demos on hold since the Playstation Network & Playstation Store outage, there's still no light for the troubled online network, even though things look like they're well underway. Even though, allegedly, there was a memo sent to developers and publishers that the Playstation Store would return, it doesn't look like it will happen today, unfortunately.

Over at the official Playstaiton Blog, the online network is scheduled for maintenance, starting at 8:00AM until 5:00PM Pacific Time. Jeff Rubenstein, the Social Media Manager also states the following.

During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process.
While some users may experience difficulty signing in to PSN, the majority of consumers will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).

For those asking about the PlayStation Store, we’re still targeting restoration of all services by the end of this month. Contrary to reports, the Store will not be publishing today.

Stay tuned to the PlayStation Twitter feed for updates and a notice when maintenance has concluded.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

All hope isn't lost just yet, the Playstatin Store will be up soon!
