Adam Sessler Leaves G4

Mere days after celebrating it's ten year anniversary G4 says goodbye to one of it's most cherished personalities. The bombshell was dropped by a representative of Sessler who said the following:

"Television personality Adam Sessler and TV network G4 are parting ways, with Adam's last episode as host of G4's "X-Play" airing on the network today, Wednesday, April 25. Adam has been hosting the show since it first aired as ZDTV's "Gamespot TV" in July 1998 and he also served as Editor In Chief of games content at G4. His current projects include starring as himself in the Summer 2012 movie "noobz" and consulting with a film production company on theatrical feature adaptations of video games. Adam intends to stay in front of the camera and continue as a key voice within the games industry. He also sings and is available for weddings and bar mitzvahs."

Ever since 1998 Sessler had been in front of the camera starting with GameSpot TV, Extended Play, and then finally, X-Play. Along with Morgan Webb he was the only regular host from TechTV who was still with the company. Amid all this hoopla Adam Sessler posted the following on Twitter:

"Thank you to everyone with your exceedingly kind wishes and thoughts," he wrote. "I think I'll finally take a nap..."

While I don't regularly watch G4 anymore I can whole-heartedly say that I will miss seeing Adam Sessler on my TV.

Noobz Movie Trailer

From the creative mind of Blake Freeman  and starring Jason Mewes (aka Jay from Jay&Silent Bob) comes a movie in which any gamer could relate to in one way or another. "Noobz" is the story of..

"A gamer clan made up of three luckless, aging gamers and an asthmatic adolescent, who are forced to "Frag Up" and road trip to Los Angeles in order to enter the Gears of War Championships."

Upon looking at this trailer I couldn't help but laugh my ass at the fact I have had encounters with other gamers just like in the movie while playing online games. The movie even has "Adam Sessler" from G4's X-play in it. After seeing the Sess man I know this movie is going to be one funny joyride.
