Sony Details PSN's "Welcome Back" Plan

The PlayStation Network is now almost completely back, except for the store. Sony is still ironing out all the wrinkles with that. While we wait though we finally have details about how they plan to win our trust back with free stuff.

The PlayStation Blog has released a list of what users will get as part of Sony's "Welcome Back" program once the PlayStation store is finally up and running again.

Users will get to choose two PS3 games and two PSP games and download them for free. So that's four free games, and while most of the games are a bit older there are still some gems in there.

PlayStation 3

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Infamous
  • Wipeout HD/Fury
  • Super Stardust HD
  • Dead Nation

PSP

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • ModNation
  • Pursuit Force
  • Killzone Liberation

For European users there's a slightly different lineup.

PlayStation 3

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Infamous
  • Wipeout HD/Fury
  • Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
  • Dead Nation

PSP

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • ModNation
  • Pursuit Force
  • Killzone Liberation

The only caveat is if you live in Germany then on the PS3, Infamous and Dead Nation will be replaced with Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings, and on the PSP, Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation will be replaced with Everybody's Golf 2 and Buzz! Junior Jungle Party this is most likely due to content restrictions.

As previously reported users will gain 30 days of access to PlayStation Plus with current users recieving an additional month. Sony is also offering a lineup of "On Us" movies, probably ones produced by Sony.

PlayStation Home users will also recieve 100 free virtual items as well as more free content which will be announced later on.
