Street Fighter x Tekken at Capcom Captivate 2011!!

Today has been full of news at Capcom’s event “Captivate 2011”. One of the most exciting unveilings today (and I’m sure others feel the same way) was some more in site on one of the anticipated cross ups of this generation, Street Fighter X Tekken!! Capcom shared more info then most of us can chew, Capcom has promised a character roaster of “dozens” but the fighters that was announced today were Ryu, Ken, Guile, Chun LI,  and Abel from the Street Fighter side and Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, Craig Marduk, King, and Bob from the Tekken side. Now your probably wondering how the fighters will play? We all know that the Tekken fighters are not projectile based fighters so they will require more of a close up fighting style, but the all system of the game is said to feel like Street Fighter Alpha series and Street Fighter 3 series also to add the will be based on tag team battle mechanics, does mean it will be like Marvel vs. Capcom absolutely not! Think of the tekken tag series how the fighters would unleash combos then switch and finish off the combos, it’s presumed to be like that. Another small note Capcom shared was about the online mode for the game, they said “it will be really robust; it will have similar features as SSF4 online mode and upgraded online functionality with some new surprises!” Capcom lastly stated that Street Fighter X Tekken is going for a 2012 release but also stated that there will be more info shared at E3 and through out up until its release… Hold up!!! Capcom and Namco gave us fans a plethora of screenshots, Character art and trailers to ‘Aw’ at till more news is released! Speaking of trailers check out the awesome three that were shown at the event today!
