Microsoft's Next Console Coming in 2015?

Rumors always seem to kick in all the time, especially when a designer updates his own portfolio and puts a release window for a console that has yet to be announced. Today, Kotaku reported that industrial designer, Ben Peterson, is collaborating with Microsoft and will be "investigating future user experiences and hardware for 2015."

If all this is true, developers should be making use of current-gen systems now, unless the Xbox 360 is already at its peak.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow "Reverie" DLC delayed

Back in December, Konami had announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be releasing DLC for it's (actually good) 3D entry into the franchise. They've only announced 2, titled "Reverie" and "Resurrection" back in December. "Reverie" was going to be released this month, but it has been pushed back to next month for unknown reasons. Who knows if this will effect "Resurrection".

Double Fine Working on Sesame Street Kinect Game

So Sesame Street and Double Fine are joining forces and heading to the 360. Yes Double Fine, the studio behind Psychonauts, Stacking, Brutal Legend, and other cult classics is taking the reigns of Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster for Kinect.

The game is being described as a "truly original interactive experience," where players team up with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, and other classic Sesame Street characters in the world of a living storybook.

“It’s great to be working with Warner Bros., especially on a game like Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster, which brings together so many things we all care about,” said Tim Schafer, President and CEO of Double Fine Productions.

Having no word yet on the release date this is definitely one to keep an eye on. Combine Jim Henson's creations with Schafer's creative artistic output toss in some Kinect controls and you have a recipe for potential greatness. We could potentially have a surprise masterpiece on our hands.
