Borderlands 2 Allegedly in Development

Surprises are usually a good thing and are supposed to..well...surprise us, but sometimes when you want to wait for the right time, it does get spoiled, unfortunately. That doesn't mean that it's a bad thing, but it does mean that what some of us actually are hoping for is actually happening - allegedly!

EuroGamer reports that one of their reliable sources has confirmed that Borderlands is well underway over at  the development studio, GearBox Software, the same one behind the first Borderlands game. The source also confirms that the game will be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC sometime next year.

Even though it had never been confirmed in the first place, Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox had always stated that he would love to revisit Borderlands. In a previous interview, Pitchford had stated this about future reveals

...We've only announced what we've announced. If we haven't announced it, it doesn't exist.

From sounds of things, it just seems like the sequel is inevitable!

Duke Nukem Forever Demo Arriving on June 3rd

Wait, another important announcement from Gearbox Software? Please don't tell us it's yet another delay! Wait a second...it's not? This is pretty damn interesting because Duke Nukem Forever will finally be coming out, not to mention a demo! Yes, that's right; Duke Nukem Forever is getting a demo, which will be exclusive to owners of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition and to those who pre-order it and part of Gearbox Software's "First Access Club".

While there's no word on how the demo will play out or if it'll entail what has been confirmed for the multiplayer side of the game, it's pretty exciting that the demo is releasing just 1 week before the launch date. In an announcement trailer (which is embeded right below) Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software and Executive Producer for Duke Nukem Forever, has stated that the game is in its certification process; the final stage of development.

So here goes nothing. Over 15 years of waiting, the Duke is finally back!

Randy Pitchford Announces Duke Nukem Forever's Delay (Yep..)

It's gonna come out, it's gonna come out! Wait...oh god damnit, again?! Yep, Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software and Executive Producer of Duke Nukem Forever has announced that the long-awaited installment in the franchise has, unfortunately delayed.

"I'm very sorry for the added delay. We've all been working extremely hard and are very eager to deliver the game to you," Randy says in a statement. The release date is now going to be June 10th. Honestly, I'm not surprised. I'm not saying I'm the kind of person who goes on with the jokes about the development time of the game, but GearBox got their hands on a unfinished product so there's bound to be lots of glitches, bugs, etc.

To check out the official announcement, watch the video below. You can also see Randy's full statement over at GearBox's forums
