New Pokemon Game on its Way?

It never ends does it? Not that it's bad, heh. Everyone's gotta love Pokemon still! In a recent sneek peek in a Japanese Nintendo magazine, titled "Dengeki Nintendo," it's being rumored that the upcoming issue is going to have details on the latest and unnannounced Pokemon game. Nintendo 3DS bound? I think so!

We'll have more details when the actual issue gets released and translated, so come back!

Nintendo DS Lite Has Been Discontinued?

Nintendo DS has been popular and always has been since it's first iteration back in 2004 and then with the wildly popular 2nd generation, the DS Lite. After that, the DSi became popular with it's use of the camera and DS Shop Channel along with the DSi XL, mainly for it's size. Sad thing to hear though since the DS Lite's life has come to a close.

In a GameStop memo sent in to the website GoNintendo from an anonymous employee, it states:

"New DS Lite systems have been discontinued and stores will no longer be replenished on this product. Once your store sells through its current stock of these units, please remove any corresponding DS Lite (Crimson, Black, and Metallic Rose) display boxes from the sales floor and discard."

Unfortunate, but it was expected to happen. With GameStop phasing out Gameboy Advance system and game trade-ins ever since the beginning of this month, with the addition of DSi a few years ago, and the fact that the 3DS is Nintendo's new baby, it had to happen sooner or later. Oh well...either way, it's time to upgrade, unless you just spent money on anything previous the 3DS for some odd reason.

Fan Remakes Super Mario Bros 3 Using New SMB (DS) Engine

Umm, wow. Having grown up with Super Mario Bros 3 constantly playing in my SNES I would say I have pretty deep love of the game. But even my love doesn't touch the levels of GBATemp.net Forum user SKJmin who went and painstakingly recreated game using the NSMB game engine. The mind blowing video below is showing just what you'll be getting.

Since both properties are entirely owned by Nintendo the patch will be free and the creator wont be providing the NSMB ROM with the download. There are also multiple warnings such as "Don't download this unless you have the original game from Nintendo. Having just checked, the patch isn't available yet but should be released at some point today just in time for some weekend fun.
